FOUR DAS Exhibitions per year!

And no commission to pay on any works sold!

Now that I have your attention… At the Special General Meeting this morning, a large majority voted in favour of trialling a new proposal which will change the way our gallery and exhibitions function. This will also enable DAS to be more inclusive of the entire community and a wide variety of artists, performers, artisans and makers.

We will be showing four, three-month-long exhibitions per year, at the DAS workshop-gallery in Dowling Street Dungog. These exhibitions will be themed, and will incorporate the Annual Exhibition and Dungog Archies. In each quarterly exhibition there will be a variety of sections and prizes for visual artists and craftspeople. In conjunction with the exhibitions there also will be events and competitions for performing artists.

The first of these exhibitions will run during October, November and December, and they will be open to members and non members, from anywhere in Australia.

A ‘Think Tank’ meeting to plan the exhibition will be held on Thursday 27 June at 10.30am at the DAS gallery- all DAS members are encouraged to come along and have input.
